Returning to the US

This will be my last post for a while, as I will be leaving for the US soon, for getting my stuff together to come back.
Even though I am looking forward to seeing my family and friends, I am regretful at leaving this place, especially coming back to the fierce cold of a Colorado winter. I only wear socks when I wear my hiking boots, and usually, if it's not raining, am wearing sleeveless or short sleeve shirts. It will be quite an adjustment not to see flowers everywhere.
This one is passiflora, or passion flower.

Jack & Grace's property

One more property to search out, this one very close to Cartago, a large city, on the far side from Orosi. Jack and Grace are an American/Tico couple, and have been here for a long time. They are seeling off parts of their land. This property, a total of about 4 acres, is lovely, quiet and remarkably private for something so close to a city.

I like that it borders a river, and has the preserve of Tapanti on the other side of the river, so it will never be built on.

Guillermo's fountain

Guillermo is this very creative builder in Navarro who has been showing me properties. A friend of Fernando, the husband of my first Spanish teacher Margoth, he is tapped into this area well, and loves to build "primitivo", having an natural affinity for materials. Here is one more view from the second finca he showed me, and the pool he built in his backyard.
